I believe everyone deserves the chance to succeed — but not everyone gets the same access to coaching, mentorship, or opportunities. My giving focuses on underprivileged communities and advancing educational excellence, with the goal of creating opportunities that change lives.
Most of my giving flows through education — funding scholarships, mentoring students, and supporting programs that open doors for the next generation of leaders.

In memory of my late father, Shri. Anantrao Jagtap — a Civil Engineer deeply passionate about the field of Construction Management — I sponsored the Anantrao Jagtap Chair for Construction Management at my undergraduate alma mater, IIT Bombay.
The primary goal of this Chair Professorship is to attract young and talented faculty from around the world, providing them with the platform and resources to build a world-class Construction Management program. This initiative aims to position IIT Bombay as a preeminent institution for construction management, both nationally and internationally.
For me, this is a way of giving back to the country that shaped me, the institute that gave me opportunities to grow during my formative years, and the department that allowed me to pursue my passion. I hope this professorship will not only draw the best talent but also foster an ecosystem of academia, research, and industry collaboration that will help India build the infrastructure necessary for its economic growth.

Another giving initiative close to my heart is at my alma mater, Michigan State University’s School of Planning, Design, and Construction. Each year, I sponsor awards for the Construction Management program, recognizing excellence at every level — outstanding undergraduate student, outstanding graduate student, and outstanding teaching faculty.
These awards are named in honor of my graduate advisor and mentor, Dr. Matt Syal, who has dedicated more than 30 years to advancing the program and inspiring generations of students. Dr. Syal’s influence on my own educational journey as well as countless others has been profound, and honoring his legacy through these awards is both a privilege and a personal mission.
By celebrating the achievements of students and faculty alike, these awards aim to inspire current and future Spartans to strive for excellence in their work, their studies, and their contributions to the construction management field.

At the University of Houston’s C.T. Bauer College of Business, I sponsor scholarships for first-generation college students to join the Management Information Systems Student Organization (MISSO).
Many first-generation students don’t receive the same career guidance at home that others might have. This scholarship helps bridge that gap by enabling them to participate in MISSO’s programs. These include resume workshops, networking events, and career fairs, all of which give them the tools, confidence, and professional network to compete for top opportunities after graduation.

Each year, I’m grateful for the opportunity to support Sewa International, an organization dedicated to serving communities in need through compassion and volunteerism. Their work speaks to a simple truth I deeply believe in — that giving of ourselves is how we truly grow.
For me, contributing to Sewa and helping promote their annual gala is a way to stay connected to that spirit of service. It’s inspiring to see how their efforts touch lives both here in the U.S. and abroad, offering help where it’s needed most.
Supporting Sewa reminds me that giving back isn’t only about generosity — it’s about shared humanity. When we come together to serve others, we strengthen the bonds that hold our communities together.
